Pedro Pascal is all about good vibes during the summertime.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE tied to his partnership with Corona, the actor, 49, opens up about what his ideal summer day looks like.

"My perfect summer day would definitely be on the beach with friends and with good music," Pascal says. "I love the beach. I don't know how else to say it. I mean, what's not to love about the beach?"

He says that he feels most present while at the beach.

"I guess some people take issue with sand or are afraid of the water ... [but the beach] just goes perfectly with the idea of just letting go and being in the moment," he continues. "There isn't anything more therapeutic for me than having the ocean in front of you ... and not thinking about anything more than just where you're at in that moment. I think that the beach does that for me."

Pascal's love of the beach is at the forefront of his partnership with Corona, as he and the brand team up for the “La Vida Más Fina” campaign.

Through their collaboration, Pascal stars in a series of three ads for Corona, with more scheduled to rollout throughout the summer.

In one commercial, the SAG Award winner journeys from the bar to the beach. In two other ads, which are in Spanish, Pascal is joined on the beach by friends to enjoy each other's company with some Corona.

The commercials, which were directed by Craig Gillespie and developed by creative agency MullenLowe, will begin airing across TV, digital and social media on Memorial Day.

According to Pascal, he has always been "a big fan of Corona."

"It's been a part of my social experience for a lot of my adult life, and it's always been a favorite amongst friends, accessible and very much a part of socializing," he says.

Having the ads be bilingual was so "important" to Pascal, given that he grew up speaking both English and Spanish and says "so much of my identity is shaped around having both worlds be my world."

He adds: "I love that that can be a part of a commercial campaign that has such an essence of truth to it, in terms of what mine and so many people's experiences actually are, and what it means in terms of language and everything that brings, as far as culture is concerned, and how expansive and inclusive it is."

Looking ahead, as he gears up for the summer season, Pascal tells PEOPLE that he is looking forward to sipping on some Coronas on a beach with his loved ones amid his busy work schedule.

The actor — who is currently working on series including The Last of Us and The Mandalorian, as well as the upcoming Fantastic Four film — says those moments with family and friends are so important to him.

"I think every day counts, and whenever you can find a time to make that connection with close ones, or get yourself somewhere that makes you connected to the moment, is [great]," Pascal says.

He adds, "A little goes a long way, and with a really busy schedule, I think sometimes it's really nice to just be home and get as much out of that as I can so that you can recharge for the next adventure."
