Inside a 'ghost prison': Eerie photos show the remote jail abandoned for over 40 years

Burwash Correctional Facitlity, in Ontario, Canada, was once home to more than 1,000 prisoners. Opened in 1914, the 35,000-acre land housed a saw mill, a public school, a hospital and a church inside the prison walls. The jail closed in 1973, and has since been used for military training.

Photographer Mike Palmer travelled to the remote abandoned buildings, accessible only by canoe, to take these stunning pictures of the ghost prison.
