Plenty of swinging fitness at new Windsor Circus School

From silk acrobatics to aerial hoop flips, the teachers at Windsor's first circus school have been getting ready for its big opening next month.

The Windsor Circus School, located in the downtown on Pelissier Street, is set to open May 1 when instructors will bring students can take classes or get private lessons.

Co-owner Tia Niccoletti says aerial and acrobatics appeal to a range of people, but it can be daunting at first.

"Circus seems a little scary for the average person," she said. "But there's no competition. Everything's a progression and if you give yourself the time and the ability to get that progression then it's super fun."

The school will also offer juggling and plate spinning, but Niccoletti will offer a range of fitness classes beyond the circus school, including open gyms, morning preschool playtime, and youth courses.

"I'm really excited to bring fitness to a new level in Windsor," she said.
