Police investigate afternoon shooting
Members of the tactical unit of the Winnipeg police service were out in force Saturday afternoon, after receiving a call about gunfire near Sargent Avenue and Langside Street.
According to police, a 911 call was made around 2 p.m. CT referring to a man who had been shot.
Police confirmed that an adult man was hit in the upper body. He was initially taken to hospital in unstable condition, but later improved to stable.
No other information was released and officers were still on the scene investigating late into the afternoon.
