Police investigate bullet fired into a Waterloo business

Waterloo regional police continue to investigate a bullet that was fired into a Waterloo business Wednesday morning. (Jackie Sharkey/CBC - image credit)

Waterloo regional police are investing after a bullet was fired into the lunchroom of a Waterloo business early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the business located in the area of Kumpf Drive and Randall Drive after receiving a report of a bullet that was fired into the building just after 3 a.m.

Police said the bullet was fired through a window into the lunch room, where a 59-year-old male employee, had just left.

No other employees were present inside the lunchroom at the time of the shooting and there were no reports of any physical injuries.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
