Police searching the Thames for missing Surbiton man last seen one week ago
Police searching for a missing 62-year-old man from south-west London have searched the River Thames.
Scott Thompson was last seen driving away from his home in Surbiton a week ago on Monday, April 15 at 12.45am.
As part of their enquires, the Met said its Marine Support Unit attended Thames Ditton Reach slipway in Kingston on Monday afternoon, one week later.
However, police said they have no direct information that Mr Thompson had entered the Thames, adding they are following up CCTV enquiries.
Detectives said Mr Thompson’s vehicle is a dark grey Ford KA with the number plate MT06 BYF.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
Met Detective Superintendent Ian Cameron said: “We are very concerned for Scott’s welfare and its extremely important that we find him.
"If you have any information at all about Scott’s whereabouts, or see anyone matching Scott's appearance, please call 999 quoting reference 'Op Steele.”
