A California bride is out of a wedding dress — all thanks to a porch thief, according to police.

The Redwood City Police Department shared on Facebook that it is looking for a man who allegedly stole “multiple packages” off a resident’s porch — one of which contained a $2,000 wedding dress.

“Thief steals wedding dress and ruins wedding plans! Can you ID?” Authorities said in their release.

Police noted that the incident occurred on April 11 between 8:24 p.m. and 8:46 p.m. local time at a residence on Adams Street. Police did not say what else may have been in the other packages taken, but also shared a video of the alleged thief in action.

In the video, a man, dressed in black clothes with a gray scarf, black hat and white shoes, could be seen walking up to the porch with no hesitation, bending down and swiping a white envelope before turning to walk away.

He appeared to have been holding another smaller brown package box in his hand and some other mail when he grabbed the package.

Police also shared a second shot on Facebook of the alleged perpetrator taken from the porch of another home, which shows the man with his Puma jacket zipped up and a black glove on his left hand.
