Prescription meds stolen from St. Andrew's Elementary school

A quantity of prescription medication was stolen during a break-in at St. Andrew's Elementary School in St. John's over the weekend.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to the call on Monday on University Avenue.

According to the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District, a small quantity of prescription medication was taken.

Parents of the students effected were notified.

The investigation into the break-in and theft is continuing.
