Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis Will Attend Trooping the Colour 2024
Kate Middleton will officially be attending Trooping the Colour tomorrow, and she will be joined by her three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Kensington Palace confirmed today that the Wales siblings will ride in a carriage alongside the Princess of Wales; Prince William, meanwhile, will ride on horseback in the parade.
As of now, the plan is for Kate will travel with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in a state carriage down the Mall and watch the parade from the Major General's Office with the rest of the royal family. After, they will appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace along with other senior working members of the royal family, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, among others. That said, the Princess's recovery and health are the priority, and elements of the appearance could change as is necessary.
Trooping the Colour will not only be Kate's return to the spotlight, but it will also mark Charlotte and Louis's first public appearance of 2024. The younger royals have not been seen out and about in an official capacity since Christmas Day, while George has attended a few soccer matches alongside his father.
"I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet," Kate said in a personal message released today. "I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal." Kensington Palace was clear that Kate's attendance at Trooping tomorrow does not indicate a return to a full schedule of engagements.
