Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Engagement Imminent?
The anticipated engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might happen sooner than people expected.
A source close to the couple told E! News that the next royal engagement is “fast approaching.” The insider also assured the publication that the couple has no plans to elope, explaining that the duke and Markle both know that their engagement does not only involve them. However, the “Suits” star wishes to keep their engagement private for a little while if it happens.
“It’s, of course, very serious and both Harry and Meghan are focused on the future,” the source said. “Engagement talk isn’t just between the two of them, even some of Harry’s closest aides are quietly expecting news before the end of the year.”

At the moment, Markle is busy with work and has been staying out of the media. In the past months, the “Horrible Bosses” star received extra attention after her relationship with the royal prince was confirmed. However, she still prefers to keep some things private, especially when they take their relationship to the next level. “She’s hoping that if this is something that happens they can keep the news private for a while before having to go public,” the insider explained.
Earlier this week, there were rumors that Markle and Prince Harry might elope. One insider told Us Weekly that Prince Harry mentioned something about running away with his girlfriend, so “they could get married somewhere private and elope rather than have a showy wedding.”
Prince Harry has not yet popped the big question, but many people around them are looking forward to their wedding. In fact, one of his close pals, Kirstie Ennis, mentioned their nuptials in a recent interview, which sparked rumors that the couple has already started on their wedding preparations. “I don’t think I’m worried about the wedding. I’m worried about the after party,” she told Express, when asked about the next royal wedding.
She then pleaded the fifth when asked to elaborate more on the possible royal wedding, further fueling the engagement rumors. One of the most popular rumors about their wedding is that Prince Harry may propose to the “Suits” actress before the year ends. It has also been speculated that he might pop the question on his birthday on Aug. 4.
