Fed pauses interest rate hikes but more likely

And then the Fed rested. After its sharpest flurry of interest rate hikes in four decades, the Federal Reserve held its key rate steady Wednesday but signaled two more increases are likely this year as officials continue to battle high inflation. That’s more projected hikes than financial markets and many economists anticipated. For now, the benchmark rate will remain at a range of 5% to 5.25% after a streak of 10 consecutive hikes. 📉 Will rates keep going up? We break it down.

His dream came true on Tuesday night when the Golden Knights routed the Florida Panthers 9-3 to capture the franchise's first NHL championship. The Panthers had pulled off upset after upset to reach the Final but fell to the deep Golden Knights, who went efficiently through the playoffs, winning their title in 22 games. Captain Mark Stone scored a hat trick, the first in a Stanley Cup Final since 1996, and the Golden Knights pulled away in a dominant second period. 🏒 How the game played out.
