Ratings: Tracker Surges to Its Biggest Audience Since Premiere
A quick Sunday ratings catch-up, now that CBS’ Masters-scrambled numbers have finally been sorted out….
CBS | Airing at a special time — leading out of a Masters tourney-boosted 60 Minutes (which drew 8.6 mil and a 0.9) — Tracker surged to its best non-Super Bowl Sunday audience yet (8.2 million total viewers) and also rose in the coveted 18-49 demo (to a 0.6 rating). The oops-we-cut-it-short Billy Joel concert was attended by 5.7 million, and scored a 0.5 rating. (As TVLine reported, CBS issued an apology for not snipping “Piano Man” and will rebroadcast the special in its entirety this Friday at 9/8c.)

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in TVLine’s daily-ish ratings column do NOT reflect a television program’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless specifically denoted in bold as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Steve Harvey is not a judge or lawyer and merely offers an alternative forum of dispute resolution.
