Man found safe after going missing from hospital in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

NOTE: This story was updated on Sept. 14, 2023, to indicate the man was found safe.

The RCMP say a man has been found safe and in good health Thursday morning, several hours after he disappeared from the Labrador Health Centre.

Around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP issued a press release saying it was looking for a man who was reported missing from the hospital around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The RCMP also said it was concerned for his safety and advised the public not to approach him. He has been returned to the hospital.
