Red Crescent Says Al-Amal Hospital Operational at Limited Capacity Despite Destruction

In a post on May 4, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its al-Amal Hosptial in Khan Younis was operational despite severe damage.

“The Israeli occupation forces caused extensive damage to PRCS Al-Amal Hospital and its surroundings in Khan Younis. Despite the scale of destruction and limited resources, the hospital continues to operate partially and in a limited capacity, hoping to rebuild the hospital and gradually restore all services,” PRCS said.

PRCS said its teams found extensive damage to the hospital building and medical equipment after Israeli forces withdrew from the area on April 7, following months of fighting.
