Royals and the radio: CBC live in Victoria for tour

Dust off your fascinators and come on down as CBC Radio One broadcasts live from Victoria during the Royal visit.

Join B.C. Almanac host Gloria Macarenko for two special noon-hour shows in the capital city on Monday and Tuesday, September 26 and 27.

Monday, Gloria's focus is on housing as Almanac goes live from the Union of British Columbia Municipalities convention at the Victoria Conference Centre.

On Tuesday, B.C. Almanac will be putting the British in British Columbia as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continue their latest visit to our province.

Bring your best hat and join Gloria for tea at Nourish Kitchen and Cafe at 225 Quebec Street in Victoria as we celebrate the Royal tour at 1 p.m. PT.

Guests include Amanda Dishwa, co-founder of blog What Would Kate Do? and Monique Miller, chair of the Monarchist League of Canada's Victoria branch.

Then from 3 to 6 p.m. PT on Tuesday, host Robyn Burns takes over the microphone for CBC Radio's All Points West, also at Nourish Kitchen and Cafe.

"Royal Relations" is the theme of the afternoon show with guests including a military mom whose kids are going to a Royal party.
