Salma Hayek Wishes 'Dear' Tom Cruise a Happy Birthday in Sweet Tribute as He Turns 62

As Cruise marks his 62nd birthday on Wednesday, July 3, Hayek, 57, shared a photo of herself posing with the Top Gun star to her Instagram Stories to wish him a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday dear @tomcruise 🥳🥳🥳," Hayek wrote in a caption to the photo, adding the same message in Spanish below. "Feliz cumpleańos querido @tomcruise 🥳🥳🥳."
The photo Hayek shared to her Stories appeared to be a cropped image she previously shared from Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday party in April. At the time, Hayek posted a photo to Instagram of herself, Cruise, her husband François-Henri Pinault and Marc Anthony at the party.
While Cruise and Hayek have never acted together onscreen, the pair appear to be good friends; Cruise produced Hayek's 2006 movie Ask the Dust, in which she costarred with Colin Farrell, the late Donald Sutherland and Idina Menzel. Back in July 2022, the two were seen posing for photos outside a London restaurant after they dined with Hayek's husband Pinault, whom she has been married to since 2009.

Jennifer Connelly, whom Cruise costarred with in 2022's smash hit Top Gun: Maverick, shared a photo of her riding on the back of Cruise's motorcycle during filming for that movie to Instagram to mark the actor's birthday.

Salma Hayek and Tom CruiseWhile it's unclear how exactly Cruise is spending his birthday, he was most recently seen spending time with Gillian Anderson and his longtime Mission: Impossible costar Simon Pegg during Coldplay’s performance at the 2024 Glastonbury Festival in the U.K. on June 30. Prior to that, Cruise was seen at Wembley Stadium's VIP tent at a Taylor Swift concert in London on June 22 along with Travis Kelce, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and Greta Gerwig; a video posted on X showed the group all dancing along to Swift's "Shake It Off."
Hayek most recently appeared on the big screen in 2023's Magic Mike's Last Dance, as well as in a 2023 episode of Black Mirror. Cruise, meanwhile, last appeared on the big screen in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning and continues to work on the eighth movie in the action franchise, set for release in May 2025.
