Saskatoon police still looking for public's help to solve 2007 homicide
Nearly 20 years ago this month, Saskatoon police discovered the body of 44-year-old Paul Theodore Jacobson in a ditch on the northeast side of the city.
The investigation into his death, which police say was a homicide, is still open — but police believe there may be people out there who have information important to solving the case, and they're once again asking for the public's help.
Police say Jacobson was found on July 3, 2007, in a ditch near Central Avenue and Agra Road. They determined his body was likely there for less than a day.
Police said in a 2017 update they had interviewed several people and developed suspects, but they have yet to arrest anyone.
Jacobson's last known location was at a home on the 600 block of University Drive — just off of Broadway Avenue — where witnesses said he arrived with a female friend, who then left the home shortly after, according to police.
In their 2017 news release, police said they were not able to identify that woman and asked her to come forward.
