Underage teenagers can get resourceful when it comes to getting their hands on alcohol — from using fake identification cards to getting other people to make purchases for them. In this case, a Scottish boy got a little more creative.

As part of a plot to purchase bottles of booze, the teenager not only took his mother’s ID but dressed up as her, as well.

In a post shared on The Glasgow Gospel Facebook page, the boy is seen holding his mom’s ID, which appears to be a work badge, while wearing a blue jacket and a matching blue hat complete with a floral dress and scarf.

“The bold yin used his maws ID for a cargo and dressed up as her,” the post said.

It appears the teen’s disguise worked as one photo shows him holding two bottles of alcohol.

However, it turns out the ploy was just part of a social experiment.

According to Glasgow Live, the bottles of alcohol actually belonged to the boy’s 19-year-old cousin. Still, his efforts got many laughing.

“This reminds me of McLovin,” someone wrote on Facebook in reference to the character from the movie Superbad.

“Dedicated to the cause,” added another online commenter.
