Search on for 15-year-old lost in C.B. while snowmobiling

A search is under way for a 15-year-old girl who got lost in Cape Breton while snowmobiling Saturday afternoon.

RCMP say she was on her own snowmobile and got separated from a relative in the Margaree Valley.

Cheticamp and Inverness County search and rescue teams have been brought in to search. RCMP and members of the public are also helping.

RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae said the girl went missing around 2:30 p.m. in the Fielding Road area.

"Hopefully we can locate the 15-year-old girl," he said.

MacRae said the weather conditions so far are good and the girl is dressed appropriately for the cold.
