Selena Gomez Dug Up Her ‘90s-Inspired Headband to Celebrate the 4th of July – See Photos

Selena Gomez is looking like summer personified. The Only Murders in the Building star celebrated the Fourth of July in a throwback '90s hair accessory that could not be cuter, wearing it with an equally summery tomato girl-inspired dress and gold hoop earrings.

We're not sure what Selena Gomez's plans were for the holiday, but we do know she hung out with her boyfriend Benny Blanco, and did so wearing a thick white stretchy headband around her hair — a go-to accessory in the ‘90s that has resurfaced today. Gomez’s headband was placed right at her hairline to keep her hair out of her face, and she wore the rest of her long lengths falling down her shoulders.

Glam-wise, Gomez kept it simple with bronzed, sunkissed skin, full brows, and mascara, plus a neutral manicure — just the thing for a warm July day hanging with friends. The summer vibes continued with her dress, a strapless white cotton sundress with colorful flowers and other illustrations scattered throughout. Guess we're not quite done with tomato girl summer yet!

Headbands like Gomez's are such an easy way to change up your hairstyle without doing a ton of work, or to hide second- or third-day hair. Millie Bobby Brown is a big fan of the accessory and has worn tons of different styles, including a similar stretchy band. The stretchy band can easily pull '60s mod with an all-black turtleneck and cigarette pants look, sporty with a Dua Lipa-approved soccer jersey, or glam like a ’90s supermodel with a minidress.

The best part? Headbands are super budget-friendly; a two-piece set in black and white will run you just $10 at Urban Outfitters, and they're easily found at your local drugstore, too. You'll be soaking up the sun like Selena in no time.
