Selena Gomez knows how to nail a character. The 31-year-old actress was seen out on the streets of Los Angeles giving us major Wednesday Addams vibes.

Gomez was seen in toe with her grandparents as she headed to her Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance. All-black looks might not always be top of mind when planning your summer wardrobe, but this one might just be the exception.

Gomez wore a midi dress from Versace’s Fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The form-fitting mid-length dress had a pinch of all our favorite style details, like its sheer fabric along the neckline and sleeves. The dress also featured a white collar and singular pearl button. The dress was long-sleeved and featured white shirt-cuffs with Versace’s signature gold buttons running from the top of the collar down to the end of the dress. While the top half of the dress leaned into the sheer trend, the rest of the dress was an opaque black with a sweetheart neckline that created a shirt-dress layering illusion. To finish the look, Gomez wore pointy-toed black heels with small bows at the front. She kept her makeup simple with flat-ironed hair and some diamond drop earrings and diamond rings.

Gomez’s appearance at Jimmy Kimmel Live was to chat about the fourth season of her hit series, Only Murders in the Building, which comes out in August. She notoriously films the show in New York City and has been seen around while on set wearing an assortment of different looks, like the iconic wedding dress scene that had the internet ablaze. Her episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live was actually guest hosted by her Only Murders co-star Steve Martin and they talked about how Gomez feels about getting to work with Meryl Streep, who is a newer addition to the show. The comedy mystery series follows Gomez who plays Mabel, a young woman that befriends her two older male neighbors (Martin and Martin Short) and then launches a podcast with them, solving murders that take place in their apartment building.

The evolution of Selena Gomez’s style continues to change as she matures and leaning into the dark, mysterious, and all-black fashion moments might just be her new thing.
