Semi-Trailer Slides Down Icy Highway With Brakes Locked

Scary scene near Floriston, California, on January 12, as a semi-trailer slid down a stretch of the I-80 with its brakes locked.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Truckee released dashcam footage showing officers accompanying the trailer to safety.

According to a comment from the CHP, the trailer had earlier jackknifed and locked its brakes. Officers accompanied the vehicle to the next open shoulder, where the driver was able to make repairs.
