Windsor man charged after weekend stabbing

Six people have been arrested after a weekend apartment robbery that left one man injured after he was smashed over the head with a beer bottle.

The man suffered minor injuries after being attacked in the hallway of his apartment building on Ouellette Avenue, located just north of Tecumseh Road E., shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday, according to Windsor police.

While attacking the man, the people tried to steal his wallet.

Police were able to find five suspects allegedly involved in the attack. By Tuesday morning, a sixth person went to the police station voluntarily and has since been charged.

Breakdown of the charges:

- 20-year-old Windsor man: Assault with a weapon, robbery, two counts of breach of probation.

- 21 year-old Windsor woman: Assault with a weapon, robbery and possession of marijuana.

- 19-year-old from Windsor and a 20-year-old Windsor man: Assault with a weapon and robbery.

- 19-year-old from Walpole Island: Assault with a weapon, robbery and breach of probation.

- 19-year-old from Windsor: Assault with a weapon.
