Smoke triggers air quality warning across Saskatchewan
It's making for a gorgeous orange sunrise.
But smoke from forest fires in the Northwest Territories is triggering an air quality warning from Environment Canada.
It said there is a moderate health risk from forest fire smoke. Children, the elderly and people with respiratory problems are all advised to take care. Even people in good health are cautioned to take it easy outside.
The good news is that the smoke problem is expected to improve later today.
"The winds are swinging around to a southerly direction," CBC weather consultant Wayne Miskolczi said. "That should improve conditions, improve visibility."
