Sofia Richie's Husband, Elliot Grainge, Simply Cannot Handle 'Rich Duck' Shoes: 'Fashion's Gone Too Far'

The music executive ranted on his wife's TikTok about the Loewe boots he encountered while the two were Christmas shopping

Elliot Grainge may be married to a fashion It girl, but he's not down with some of the latest trends.

Loewe's Toy Pants boots? That's gonna be a no.

While Elliot, 30, and wife Sofia Richie Grainge, 25, were out Christmas shopping, the two came across the statement boots, and needless to say, the music executive was far from amused (unlike us — we're very amused by his reaction).

"It looks like a rich duck would wear that," he says in the video while approaching the brown heeled boots. "A very rich duck that has all the ducks quack for them."

As Sofia films, she can't help but just keep saying, "Oh," in response to his progressively angry proclamations about the shoes, which are made to look like a pants pocket with a heel. She tells him his comparison to a duck is "deep," but Elliot still isn't done eloquently describing said boot.

"It’s a thick, wide, leather jean, bedazzled, boot sock heel," he says, rattling off all the descriptors he can seemingly think of. Clearly living with a fashion pro has paid off, as he has nailed exactly what this boot is.

"You know fashion’s gone too far when they put something like this out," he says in conclusion before turning his back on the boot, unwilling to give it any more of his attention.

As Sofia tells her millions of followers, her husband is "not down" for the trendy Loewe footwear. She captioned the hilarious clip, "Remind me not to take elliot christmas shopping w me again."

This holiday season will be Sofia and Elliot's first as a married couple. The two wed in April in Antibes, France. Sofia wore three Chanel gowns as she tied the knot, which her stylist called “ageless and classic.”

For the rehearsal dinner, she wore a high-necked, long-sleeved beaded dress with beaded frills in the midsection and bottom of the dress. She then changed into her wedding dress for the ceremony, which featured a criss-cross neckline with several white sequins and beads sewn into the fabric in classic leaf designs. The dress also has an important detail: an "S&E" with the date underneath (to signify Richie's something blue for her wedding).

For the afterparty, she wore a short, simple and structured dress with the iconic Chanel camellia in the center of her chest.

The model also raved about her husband in an episode of Vogue’s 23 Hours With series in July. "I feel so relaxed," Richie Grainge explained. "I feel like I'm finally in a place where I can breathe and just relax with my husband. Being married is the best."

She continued: "I'm obsessed with Elliot," adding that "When we're together, it's just calm and quiet."
