Vandalism

Idiots will continue to deface public property until the woke law enforcers punish them.

Traffic

Is it even legal for a municipality to block or alter the natural flow of traffic on a U.S. highway for a special promotion staged for profit by any private promoter or organization?

Tips

If tips are not taxable, does that means it can’t be a part of your income? When buying a house or car or applying for a credit card, will this decrease your chances, since you can’t verify your true income? What about creating more eligible welfare recipients because of lower income? This would have to be worked out.

California raid

Unlike Donald Trump, the mayor of the California city who was arrested did not foment a riot against our government that resulted in personal injury of law-enforcement officers.

What about Biden?

“No Surprise” wrote in Sound Off that Donald Trump has raised more re-election funds than President Biden, criticizing the donors as billionaires and alleging Trump would return tax breaks for the donations while the common man was left out in the cold. Not true, but if it were, how myopic. As if Biden, the perennial politician for four decades and current darling of Hollywood and Democrat mega donors is altruistic.

Copying Chamberlain

President Biden’s initial statements after Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel were blunt, specific, strong and supportive. He made clear who was at fault and that Israel not only had America’s unwavering support to the end, but that they were justified in every aspect of their response. Behind the scenes, however, it wasn’t long before he started equivocating. He seems to be trying his best to mimic England’s Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain who thought by meeting Hitler, his ravenous appetite and hatred would be pacified. History shows the folly and gullibility. Get out of Israel’s way, Joe, and support them unconditionally. Hamas is an evil terrorist organization that must be destroyed.

Slow down

According to the National Highway Administration, Mississippi has the highest fatality rate of any state, making Mississippi the most unsafe state to drive in. Per 100,000 people there are 26.17 fatalities — more than double the national average. Then I read Mississippians complain more than people in any other state. Driving is second on the list of what they complain about. As frustrating as it is that our leaders from governor to the police do nothing to campaign for safer driving as individuals we can slow down, stay sober and stop being reckless.
