Source: Sacramento Kings sign former Golden State Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson

The Kings are making a move to improve their wing depth after experiencing matchup problems in recent losses to the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angels Clippers.

The Kings are signing 30-year-old Juan Toscano-Anderson to a one-year contract, a league source told The Sacramento Bee on Thursday, confirming a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Toscano-Anderson is a 6-foot-6, 209-pound forward with a 6-10 wingspan. He has played 191 games over four NBA seasons. He spent three seasons with the Golden State Warriors — while Kings coach Mike Brown was serving as Steve Kerr’s lead assistant — before splitting time between the Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz last season.

Toscano-Anderson is an Oakland native who went undrafted out of Marquette. He carved out a role for himself with Golden State, where he helped the Warriors win an NBA championship in 2022.

Toscano-Anderson has career averages of 4.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists. His best season was 2020-21, when he averaged 5.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 57.9% from the field and 40.2% from 3-point range for the Warriors. Toscano-Anderson is known as a hustle player who could bring an element of toughness and physicality to Sacramento.
