Stacey Dooley's This Is My House cancelled after two series

Stacey Dooley's entertainment show This Is MY House has been cancelled after two series.

The BBC show, which Dooley during its first series, saw a panel of celebrities attempt to guess who the real owner of a house was out of four contenders.

If the celebrities, which included the likes of Alison Hammond, Harry Hill, Judi Love, Richard Madeley and Joel Dommett, chose correctly, the homeowner would win a cash prize of £1,000.

Confirming the show's cancellation, a spokesperson for the BBC told The Mirror: "Sometimes difficult decisions have to be made, so whilst there will be not be another series of This is MY House on BBC One and iPlayer, we would like to extend our thanks to Richard Bacon and the entire team at Expectation plus all our celebrity sleuths for two series of the show."

The second series of This Is MY House saw some format changes, moving to half-hour episodes and Dooley's on-air hosting role changed to a voiceover.

Dooley and her partner Kevin Clifton welcomed Minnie, their first child, earlier this year.

Recently speaking to Digital Spy, Clifton revealed his plans to take a career break to spend more time with his family once his tour of Strictly Ballroom The Musical comes to an end.

"By the time I finish in mid-July it will have been a 10-month tour of Strictly Ballroom. So, since we came out of COVID it's just been back-to-back non-stop," he shared.

"So, for the rest of this year I've decided I'm going to take a break from all performing work just to be a dad. I just don't want to miss any of Minnie. So, yeah, my plan is to take a break as soon as this contract finishes."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
