Stath Lets Flats has been renewed for a third season following its runaway success at the 2020 Baftas.

The comedy series, which is written by and stars Jamie Demetriou as an incompetent letting agent, won three awards at the TV event, including the gong for Best Scripted Comedy.

On Friday (23 October), Channel 4 announced that Stath Lets Flats would be returning for another six-episode season, which would pick up from the season two finale cliffhanger with Stath (Demetriou) attempting to save his family business.

The new season will also focus on the relationships between Stath and Katia (Ellie White), and Sophie (Natasia Demetriou) and Al (Al Roberts).

Responding to the news, Demetriou said: “This is lovely. I love Channel 4. Thanks so much for having us back for a series three. Sorry the title is still hard to say. Love Jamie Demetriou from Stalph Les Flav.”

Stath Lets Flats was the big comedy winner at this year’s virtual Bafta ceremony, beating Fleabag, Catastrophe and Derry Girls to win the award for Best Scripted Comedy.

Demetriou also took home the prizes for Best Male Actor in a Comedy and Best Writer of a Comedy.

Demetriou will be returning for the show’s third season alongside a supporting cast including his sister Natasia Demetriou, Roberts, White, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Katy Wix and Dustin Demri-Burns.
