Study uncovers bleak financial outlook for Canada's ski industry

A study from the University of Waterloo offers a fresh perspective on the existing impact of climate change on ski resorts, diverging from the usual focus on future projections.

The study examined conditions prior to 1970, before the warming trend began to escalate. Their findings revealed a chilling reality: the ski industry has been losing approximately $250 million each year in the past two decades, amounting to a staggering total loss of $5 billion.
