SHIBANI GOKHALE: "Prince Harry should be ashamed of himself." "He carries on his mother's work." "His book is stunning." "Who even asked him to disclose so much information?" These are just a few of the reactions people have had to Prince Harry's new book, "Spare."

The highly anticipated memoir by Prince Harry hit the shelves this week and is already on track to becoming a bestseller. The book has captivated the attention of the world. And the reactions are wildly mixed. Many people are praising his courage in standing up to institutional injustice, calling him a hero, showering him with compliments, and even comparing him to a prince from a fairy tale.

On the flip side, many have accused him of betraying the monarchy, his family, and even the United Kingdom. Some are even calling for his royal titles to be stripped. Meanwhile, some people are questioning if his only motives for opening up through his book, the documentary, and the various media interviews are financial. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed lucrative deals with Spotify, Netflix, and Penguin Random House, which are expected to bring in close to $150 million.

Some social media users simply want him to shut up. They're questioning why someone who demanded privacy is suddenly willing to talk about every incident from his life. Many have asked if the public even needs to know such intimate details about him. The opinions were so divided, we decided to ask an expert to weigh in.

University of Toronto lecturer and royal family expert, Caroline Harris, said that the public has seen Prince Harry grow up. And so every memory that he shares, there are others who have a different perspective. And this attracts a lot more scrutiny. We asked Yahoo readers what they think about Prince Harry sharing his story, and they seem to be equally divided. So what do you think about his book?
