Summerside-area man sentenced to 36 months on drug charge

RCMP say a woman lost control of an ATV an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir, also known as Lake Wahtopanah, and struck a man who was fishing. The woman died and the man was knocked into the water, where he is presumed drowned.

A 53-year-old man from the Summerside area has been sentenced to 36 months in prison for possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, according to the RCMP.

Terry Albert Glenn Allen was arrested on April 11 by the RCMP following a traffic stop.

Police say he was taken to court on April 14 where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced.
