Suspect in 4 armed robberies sought by Calgary police

Police are asking for help from the public as they search for the man believed responsible for a string of armed robberies in northeast Calgary.

From March 30 to April 9 four robberies have been committed at businesses in the 1400 block of 52nd Street N.E.

In each case a man wearing either a balaclava or a hoodie entered the store, showed a knife and went behind the counter demanding money, police say.

There have been no injuries.

The suspect is Caucasian, 18 to 25 years old, from five feet nine inches to six feet tall, with a slim to medium build.

He has also worn jackets, gloves, jeans and black Nike runners or brown boots, police say.
