Sydney Sweeney Teases There's a Reason Behind Her New Short Haircut: 'Have to Wait and See' (Exclusive)
The actress first debuted the shorter hairstyle at Paris Fashion Week before going even shorter during Oscars weekend
There's a reason for Sydney Sweeney's chic new bob — but she's not revealing what it is just yet.
"You have to wait and see," the actress, 26, told PEOPLE exclusively when asked about the new cut that she debuted just weeks ago.
Whether it's for a role, a major campaign or just because she wanted a change remains to be seen.
Sweeney, who was named a Kérastase global ambassador in January, did tell PEOPLE that her shorter strands feel great.
"I feel like my hair is super healthy and thick now. It's kind of crazy!" she gushed during a chat about her upcoming film Immaculate, which is in theaters on Friday.
Sweeney debuted her short haircut right after hosting Saturday Night Live earlier this month. She jetted off to Paris for Fashion Week and stepped out at the Miu Miu show in sequined underwear, platform heels and a brand new 'do.
But that wasn't the finished look. She eventually cut that lob a bit shorter. Just days later when she hit the carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, she exuded Old Hollywood glamour in Angelina Jolie's 2004 Oscars dress, designed by Marc Bouwer, Sweeney's stylist Molly Dickson wrote on Instagram.
The Euphoria star was allowed into the archives of the New York City designer and her stylist thanked Marc Bouwer president Paul Margolin for helping create the “special moment.”
Sweeney paired the satin gown — which featured a plunging neckline and a low back, along with a lengthy train and a matching shawl — with jewelry from Messika, including a statement layered pendant necklace and a more laid-back pair of stud earrings.
Since then, she's continued to style her bob in new ways, including a slicked-back look at the Los Angeles premiere of Immaculate — save for one single piece of hair left in her face. It was the perfect hairstyle to complement the sculpted floral top that she wore on the red carpet.
