Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Lioness’ Fort Worth shoot starts soon. Paid actors for season 2 wanted
Paramount has officially announced a second season for Taylor Sheridan’s spy show, “Lioness.”
Previously titled “Special Ops: Lioness,” the show is now known as “Lioness” for the new season. The series is the latest from “Yellowstone” creator and North Texas native Sheridan.
“Special Ops: Lioness” premiered on Paramount+ last year and stars Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira, Michael Kelly and Morgan Freeman. The show follows a CIA operative (Saldana), who attempts to balance her personal and professional lives as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror.
“Lioness” season 1 stars Saldana, Kidman, De Oliveira, Kelly and Freeman are all returning for the second go-around.

‘Lioness’ season 2 to film in Fort Worth, extras wanted
Legacy Casting, a Texas-based company, posted several notices for background actors to work on “Lioness” season 2 as production ramps up this month in Fort Worth.
The notices on MyCastingFile are looking to cast men and women with real-life military or first responder experience to work as background actors on the show:
Military experience: These actors would portray Mexican border agents, airborne soldiers, ISIS fighters and other military personnel. These are paid roles with tentative filming dates in Fort Worth in June.
Law enforcement experience: Legacy is looking for real-life law enforcement experience to portray police officers, FBI agents, U.S. Marshals and border patrol agents. These are paid roles with tentative filming dates in Fort Worth in late May.
First responder experience: Legacy is looking to cast men and women with real-life experience as first responders to portray firefighters, paramedics and EMTs in the show. These are paid roles with tentative filming dates in Fort Worth in late May.
Stand-in actors: Legacy also posted casting notices looking for stand-in actors for “Lioness” stars Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman. Stand-in actors take the place of the principal actor as the crew adjusts camera angles and lighting setups

Is ‘Lioness’ based on a true story?
No, but the show is is loosely based on the real-life “Lioness” program used by the CIA.
During the Iraq war, insurgents would exploit women and use them for smuggling and other terrorist activities. Muslim tradition doesn’t allow men to touch a woman who isn’t related to them, therefore only American female service members were able to search them.
To combat this, the Lioness program was created to attach female Marines to combat units to search Iraqi women and children, according to the U.S. Marines.
