Swifties are celebrating the holiday that centers around one of Taylor Swift's favorite pastimes — dropping Easter eggs.

On Sunday, the "Daylight" singer's management team, known as Taylor Nation, shared a throwback Easter clip on Instagram of a baby Swift wearing a bunny suit in her mother Andrea Swift's arms.

Andrea appeared to coo at her daughter, now 34, in the soundless video, which was dated March 14, 1990 — Swift's first Easter season. The baby pop star stared at the camera and waved her little arms around in what appeared to be a pink and white fuzzy suit complete with bunny ears.

"Dropping easter eggs since 1989. What’s your favorite that you’ve found through the eras? 🐰🥚," read the post's caption.

Along with being a colorful shell sometimes filled with candy or money to celebrate the holiday, "Easter egg" has become a term for hidden messages in pop culture that reference other projects or offer hints about upcoming events.

Swift has become famous for dropping them in her songs and videos since early on in her career. Her earliest Easter eggs were hidden messages she wrote to fans in the liner notes of her albums using capital letters to explain what songs are about.

More recently, she teased the release of her upcoming album, The Tortured Poet's Department, before announcing its existence and release date at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Feb. 4.

In the music video for her song "Bejeweled" from the album Midnights, Swift held a clock in her hands that said "Exile ends" with the numbers two and three on it. Looking back, fans realized that 2/3 marked the day before she announced her new Era.

Another hint came in October 2023 when Swift and long-time collaborator Jack Antonoff held up 11 fingers in photos that the singer posted of the pair in the studio. In hindsight, they were likely hinting at her upcoming release, her 11th studio album.

As for how she spends the actual Easter holiday, Swift shared in a 2019 Instagram Story post that she and her brother, Austin Swift, like to pass the time by having Easter egg breaking contests.

While her 2024 Easter plans are unknown, earlier this month Swift was spotted vacationing in the Bahamas with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, while on a break from her Eras Tour.
