'Teletubbies' sun baby did not have a baby, but we are still old

A photo of the 'Teletubbies' original sun baby Jessica Smith holding a child on her lap circulated on Twitter and had everyone confused.

For once, it's actually a relief to be wrong about something.

Twitter thought a childhood favorite, the sun baby from "Teletubbies", had a baby of her own after someone tweeted out a photo of her all grown up and holding a child on her lap.

"The teletubbies sun baby has a baby," the tweet read.

The internet went wild trying to wrap their heads around this bit of information because how could a baby we all grew up watching have a child of her own?

Just how old are we?

How old is the "Teletubbies" sun baby now?

The first episode of "Teletubbies" aired in 1997, and the part of the sun baby was played by Jessica Smith.

Previous news stories from when Smith revealed for the first time that she was in fact the "Teletubbies" sun baby would place her around 23 years old today — though we can't find her exact birth date.

"This has made me feel 800 years old," tweeted Greg James, host of Radio 1 Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 1.

"We've been alive for so long," another person mused.

"Teletubbies" says it's not Jessica Smith's baby

We can all rest assured that Smith did not have a baby. The official "Teletubbies" Twitter account confirmed that "no, the Teletubbies sun baby didn't have a baby."

The account addressed concerns and clarified that the photo is indeed of the original sun baby, Jess Smith, with the new sun baby, Berry. Baby Berry will be a part of the "Teletubbies" reboot.

This new realization did little to alleviate people's stress levels.

Turns out, we are still super old.
