Thanksgiving Day 2015: What's open, what's closed in Windsor

Still looking for that last piece of your Thanksgiving dinner or need to get some banking done? Make sure it's all wrapped up before Monday as many stores, banks and city services will be closed for the holiday.

City services

Most city services aren't operating or have changed schedules due to the holiday.

Windsor's 311 call centre, public libraries, city offices and arenas will all be closed Monday. Residential garbage pickup is shifted one day throughout the week, so you'll need to put out your garbage a day later than usual.

The Windsor-Essex 211 call centre will be open 24 hours on Monday.

City buses will be running on their holiday schedules, though the tunnel bus will be running on a normal schedule.

If you're looking for something to do, the Adventure Bay Waterpark and Cannon Cove will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Beer and banking

Beer Store and LCBO outlets in Windsor will be closed Monday, though they will be open on Sunday, company spokespersons confirmed to CBC News.

Scotiabank, BMO, RBC, TD Bank of Canada and Windsor Family Credit Union branches will all be closed as well.

Shopping and groceries

Devonshire Mall, Home Depot, and Walmart will all be closed the entire day, but they all resume their regular hours Tuesday.

For last-minute grocery shopping, one of the few options available are the three M.R. Meat locations, which will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The Real Canadian Superstore, FreshCo and Food Basics websites all note their stores are closed on Monday.

Managers at all four of Windsor's Metro locations said their stores would be closed Monday.
