U.S. migrant crisis: Scenes from the border

A crisis has emerged along the southern U.S. border, where many migrants including children are being held in detention facilities in dire conditions.

The Associated Press reported that children in one centre in Clint, Texas, were caring for each other while lacking water, food and sanitation. Children have also died while in the care of border patrol.

The U.S. house recently passed a $4.5 billion emergency border aid package to care for thousands of migrant families and unaccompanied children detained.
