TikTok Stars the Cavinder Twins to Be Ambassadors for Under Armour

The Cavinder sisters have a new team.

Haley and Hanna Cavinder, the college basketball players — and TikTok stars — who led the Miami Hurricanes to the NCAA’s Elite Eight during the 2022-23 season, have signed on to become the newest Under Armour ambassadors.

This marks the first apparel and footwear deal for the twins who were among the first student athletes to sign endorsement deals after the NCAA’s decision in 2021 that college athletes could benefit from the use of their own name, image and likeness.

Under the terms of the three-year deal with Under Armour, the sisters will test products and provide input on design and will also appear in branded content for the company that highlights their basketball careers as well as their styles off the court.

“We are thrilled to have Haley and Hanna officially join the Under Armour team,” said Sean Eggert, senior vice president of marketing for Under Armour. “They are tremendous athletes who bring a fresh and exiting energy to everything they do, whether that’s on or off the court. They embody our muse, the varsity athlete, which is a new generation of 16- to 24-year-old competitors who are committed to becoming a better version of themselves. Their input will help provide a fresh perspective as we continue to invest in sportswear, marrying the innovation that Under Armour is known for with a new, fashion-forward approach.”

Women’s sports have begun to garner a lot more attention, thanks in large part to Caitlin Clark, now a professional with the Indiana Fever but whose stellar play for the Iowa Hawkeyes helped put women’s basketball on the map. The twins, who did not play this season, are preparing for their final year of college basketball at the University of Miami. Haley Cavinder had attended Texas Christian University last year but will rejoin her sister in Miami for the upcoming season where they are both committed to playing.

They have 4.5 million followers on TikTok and 330,000 on Instagram. They recently joined Hustle Beauty, a brand created by Courtney Jones Louks, a one-time professional soccer player, as cofounders, and are also sponsored by Champs Sports, Boost Mobile, Raising Cane’s, Intuit TurboTax, Core Hydration, WWE, PSD Underwear, Six Star Pro Nutrition, Caktus AI and other companies, according to Sports Illustrated.

“We’ve been fans of Under Armour for as long as I can remember,” said Hanna Cavinder. “From the moment we met with the team, we felt like a part of their family. They really understand the needs of athletes and I’m excited to see how they merge their legacy in performancewear with street style.”

Her sister added: “This is a really exciting opportunity for us to take on together, especially as we enter our last year of collegiate eligibility at the University of Miami. All eyes are on women’s basketball right now, and having the support of Under Armour as we take on our final season feels like a dream.”
