Toronto police have arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted multiple people, including two girls, in North York, earlier this week.

In a release Friday, police said they were investigating reports of sexual assaults near Wilson Avenue and Jane Street.

The first incident Tuesday morning involved the accused approaching a group of 14-year-old girls, and allegedly assaulting one of them before leaving the area.

The second took place around 8:25 a.m. Thursday, police said. The man approached a 34-year-old woman and then sexually assaulted her before fleeing, according to police.

That same day, minutes later, the same man allegedly approached an 11-year-old girl and assaulted her before leaving.

Police said they arrested a 44-year-old Toronto man on Thursday in connection with the investigation. He was charged with sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference and two counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years old.

He was scheduled to appear in Toronto court on Friday.

Officers said they believe there may be more victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or submit a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
