Travis Kelce parties with no Taylor Swift at Derby, Patrick Mahomes revs up in Miami

Brittany and Patrick Mahomes grabbed the pole position at the Miami Grand Prix on Friday night, revving up for the glittery weekend by partying with friends.

Meanwhile four of his Chiefs teammates — including a solo Travis Kelce — partied Friday night ahead of the Kentucky Derby in Louisville.

Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, wasn’t with him. Online chatter suggests she could be in Europe already, where she begins the next leg of her Eras Tour May 9.

Photos and video clips posted to Brittany’s Instagram Stories showed the couple partying with friends ahead of Sunday’s race, including Brooke Cheatham, who tagged one post: “Miami baby.” Brooke is married to Patrick’s childhood friend Ryan Cheatham.

Brittany’s longtime friend Paige Buechele was in the group too. She is married to Shane Buechele, Mahomes’ former backup in Kansas City and now with the Buffalo Bills.

In October, Mahomes, Kelce and a group of other professional athletes including PGA golfer Rory McIlroy became part owners of the Formula One Alpine Racing team.

Speculation that Kelce and Swift might also attend the Grand Prix put Swift’s fans on high alert for her whereabouts this weekend.

One of Kelce’s buddies, former NBA player Chandler Parsons, spilled the beans in an interview at Churchill Downs on Friday that the Super Bowl champ would attend the 150th Running of the Roses on Saturday.

Photos posted online show Kelce, but no Swift, at a pre-Derby concert Friday by The Chainsmokers, the same band he and Swift partied with in Las Vegas after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in February.

Three other Chiefs are in Louisville, too.

Friday night tight end Isiah Pacheco and offensive linemen Creed Humphrey and Mike Caliendo — all looking fine in dark suits, it must be noted — walked the red carpet at the annual Trifecta Gala in Louisville.

Pacheco later went live on Instagram during a ride through town in a swanky darkened vehicle and also shared his view from the VIP seats at a pre-Derby Bruno Mars concert — a “24K” night to start the weekend.
