Dennis Allen Hough, 75, of Kennewick, died March 15 in Richland.

He lived in the Tri-Cities for 40 years.

The U.S. Navy veteran was a retired nuclear engineer.

Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation, Pasco, is in charge of arrangements.

Christine C. Hough

Christine Corrine Hough, 76, of Kennewick, died March 20 at Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick.

She was born in Seattle and lived in the Tri-Cities for 46 years.

She was a retired senior clerk at the Hanford site.

Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation, Pasco, is in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis S. Curet

Phyllis Suzanne Curet, 83, of Richland, died March 19 in Richland.

She was born in Miles City, Mont., and lived in Richland for 36 years.

She was a retired medical clerk.

Einan’s at Sunset, Richland, is in charge of arrangements.

Anita Bryant, a former Miss Oklahoma, Grammy-nominated singer and prominent booster of orange juice and other products who became known over the second half of her life for her outspoken opposition to gay rights, has died. Bryant died Dec. 16 at her home in Edmond, Oklahoma, according to a statement posted by her family to news site The Oklahoman on Thursday. Bryant was a Barnsdall native who began singing at an early age, and was just 12 when she hosted her own local television show.

Greece sees an outcry after police release a drunk driver later involved in a deadly crash
Greece’s minister in charge of police said Monday that “all necessary sanctions” will be brought against officers on the island of Crete who failed to detain a driver found driving drunk and without a license who later was involved in a crash that killed a 22-year-old. The crash killed resident Panagiotis Karatzis in the town of Chania early Saturday and led to an outcry in Greece over the perceived impunity of some. Local media have reported the suspect, who has not been publicly named in accordance with Greek law, was a well-known local businessman.
