The Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic is returning to Columbus. Here’s what we know

The Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic is returning to A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium in Columbus after having been played in Birmingham, Alabama since 2020, the city announced in a news release.

The football game between Tuskegee’s Golden Tigers and Morehouse’s Maroon Tigers was first played in 1936. This will be the 85th year the game has been played in Columbus.

Both institutions’ presidents and athletic directors look forward to the game’s return to what they call “home,” the release stated.

“The Tuskegee-Morehouse Committee is currently working hard to create a week of activities that will prove to be a week to remember as we welcome ‘The Granddaddy of all Classics Back Home.’”
