TVLine Items: Big Mouth Season 7 Trailer, USFL/XFL Merger and More

The Hormone Monsters have a new stomping ground in the trailer for Big Mouth’s seventh and penultimate season (premiering Friday, Oct. 20 on Netflix).

The upcoming 10 episodes follow “the now teenage students of Bridgeton middle school as they make their way to high school,” reads the official synopsis. “Change is the only constant as our characters are faced with a new school, new friends, new adversaries, and new Hormone Monsters.” Guest stars include rapper Megan Thee Stallion as herself, Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther), Zazie Beetz (Atlanta), Padma Lakshmi (Top Chef), Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Never Have I Ever) and Billy Porter (Pose). Additionally, Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) will contribute an original song.

* The United States Football League (USFL) and the XFL on Thursday morning announced their intention to merge, subject to customary regulatory approvals. More details regarding the new league will be announced at a later date.

* The 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will stream live on Disney+, from Brooklyn, New York, on Friday, Nov. 3 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT, and  be available to stream following the ceremony. * Prime Video has given a two-season order to the adult animated musical comedy Hazbin Hotel, based on Vivienne Medrano’s popular animated pilot released on YouTube in 2019. The series follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, “as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom,” per the official synopsis. “After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, she opens a hotel in the hopes that patrons will be ‘checking out’ into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film-star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the ‘Radio Demon’ reaches out to assist Charlie in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality.”

* Lifetime has picked up Theresa Caputo: Raising Spirits, in which the Long Island medium “explores the next phase of her personal life and embarks on a much-anticipated tour.” The series is slated to premiere in 2024. Get a first look here.
