Closed intersection on 14th Street West reopens after repair, Bradenton police say

A part of 14th Street West reopened Tuesday after workers repaired the damage caused by a washout that happened Monday afternoon.

The intersection of 14th Street West and 17th Avenue reopened before 3 p.m. Tuesday, said city of Bradenton spokesperson Tiffany Shadik.

City officials first reported the washout at the intersection around 3:29 p.m. Monday, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

A photo posted to social media showed barricades and workers in the area.

The city of Bradenton’s Public Works Department responded to the scene. Further information about the washout was not immediately available Tuesday afternoon.
