Vera Wang, 74, reveals secrets to her agelessness: fast food and ‘hard work’

Legendary fashion designer and septuagenarian Vera Wang recently revealed that besides hard work, her unexpected diet also helps her maintain her youthful appearance.

Sharing her secret: Wang, 74, shared her routine with Page Six during an interview at the DKMS Gala (Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei or German Bone Marrow Donor Center) in New York City on Oct. 19.

Fast food and sweets: In the interview, Wang revealed that she “absolutely” does eat McDonald’s, saying, “I order it every day, like two weeks on it, and then I’ll change.”

She also likes to add the additional sweet treats on top of her fast food diet, such as Dunkin’. “I like the cream-filled, sugar-coated donut. It’s like a jelly donut, but it’s cream inside, vanilla cream. I like the pink with sprinkles, too," she added.

Most important element: Besides her diet, Wang explained that keeping herself busy is an important element of maintaining her youthful appearance.

“Basically, I’ve worked my whole life, so it’s really been about work. I think work keeps you young and stimulated,” she said. “I work very long hours, I’ve raised two daughters. I think keeping busy is the best antidote [for] good health.”

Echoing past statement: Wang reiterated the sentiment she shared with Elle in March, telling Page Six she likes to “work” and doesn't want to be "pigeonholed.”

“I’m very flattered that people think I’ve aged well, but it was never my goal,” she said. “I drink vodka, I sleep, I avoid the sun.”
