Verizon customers in Texas lost service Friday morning. Here’s when it will be restored

Cellphone service was lost late Friday morning for most Verizon customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to the website istheservicedown.com.

Verizon Wireless has 143.3 million customers in the U.S., says a 2nd quarter report from the company. Verizon Wireless is a telecommunications company which offers mobile telephony products and wireless services. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Verizon Communications. It is the second largest wireless telecommunications provider in the United States.

“Verizon is reporting a widespread wireless outage in most of Texas. They hope to have it corrected in about 3 hours,” says a Facebook post from Lubbock television station KCBD NewsChannel 11.

The website, istheservicedown.com, says reports from users having issues in Fort Worth come from zip codes 76123, 76116, 76129, 76131, 76119, 76179, 76102 and 76118. In Dallas, reports came from the zip codes 75270, 75205, 75206, 75204, 75219, 75231, 75216 and 75287.
