Adorable Capybara Enjoys a Good Old Scratch at Wildlife Sanctuary

A friendly rescued capybara enjoyed a good old scratch from a visiting biologist at a wildlife sanctuary in Bolivia.

Video taken by Natalia Cara shows the capybara enjoying the special attention.

“This rescued capybara decided to approach me while I was cleaning her pool and begged me for some scratches and her reaction to it is equally funny and adorable,” Cara told Storyful.

Capybaras are the world’s largest rodent species. “They are generally calm and peaceful animals that are easily adaptable,” Cara said. They are often found near humans, too, which can make then “easy targets” for hunters, she said. Credit: Natalia Cara via Storyful
