Firefighters Rescue Six Dogs From Burning Home in Washington

Firefighters said they rescued six dogs from a burning home while also facing “intense” summer heat in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, July 21.

The DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services department said firefighters dealt with “intense heat” and “cluttered” conditions while rescuing animals and people from the burning home. Officials said four residents and six dogs were displaced as a result of the fire on K Street.
